There seem to be only one sitemap generator extension for google chrome. It is simple to use, you just need to enter the website that you wish to generate a map for, and you will end up with a sitemap xml file. Sitemap generation was done by opening tabs for each link, it is done transparently, and did not seem to incur any problems what so ever.
